Meet Barry Jones

A Pacific Northwest Legend

Nearly seventy years in the mountains...

If you want to know what Pacific Northwest logging is all about, meet Barry Jones. At 84 years old, Barry still climbs into his Western Star and heads for the mountains. He hauled his first load of logs at just 17, and nearly seven decades later, he's still doing what he loves.

Then there's the hat.

A proud member of the "Old F*ers Club – Local Logging,"** Barry wears it with the same quiet pride that's earned him a lifetime of respect. Around these parts, it's more than a joke—it's a badge awarded by time, hard work, and thousands of mountain miles.

Drivers like Barry built an industry the hard way. Long before GPS, automatic transmissions, and cell phones, they learned every curve, every grade, and every lesson the mountains could teach.

His smile says everything.

Here's to Barry Jones—a logger, a truck driver, and one of the last of a generation whose character was forged one mountain run at a time.

Hats' Off To You Barry!
